Throughout history, the concept of hands as a map of our lives has captivated both scientists and artists alike. The lines, creases, and ageing skin of our hands often reveal insights into our health, personality, and even destiny. The way we present and hold our hands can serve as a profound indicator of our emotions.
In this series, I reached out to a diverse group of women—many of whom I had never met before—and invited them to share a piece of themselves through the simple act of opening their hands to be photographed. As they did so, each woman revealed a little of her unique story, and I took note of their reflections during our conversations.
The result is a powerful exploration of identity and vulnerability, offering a window into the lives of these women through the language of their hands.
Each image is accompanied by their words, creating an intimate connection between the viewer and the subjects, illuminating the rich narratives hidden within our most personal features.
