"Folkestone is an Art School" (2022) is an interactive flipbook that captures the essence of art within the urban landscape across various genres. It highlights intentional art, such as local projects, exhibitions, and museums, alongside public expressions like graffiti, litter, and lost items. The book invites viewers to playfully engage with their surroundings and explore the ways we co-exist and interact with art.
This project also reflects on the multitude of choices available to viewers, emphasising how personal engagement with the images alters their context and interpretation.
I documented individuals as they explored the hand made book, each selecting different sequences of pages, showcasing the unique, individual experiences we each bring to our understanding of the world layered through our subjectivity.
